Happy Canada day! It was July 1st, and the only fireworks we get to adore is the glow from my couple’s love. So happy on this day I get to be Yuki & Laband’s wedding photographer.
The wedding ceremony & reception was held at the lovely Daisy Hill bed and breakfast, Odessa near Kingston. With the ceremony taking place outdoors facing Odessa Lake..
The day got started with preparation. Followed by some Chinese wedding door games by where the groom’s role is to fetch his bride from her room. Starting at the front door Laband is given challenges by the bridesmaids, and if complete successfully he is granted passage through the doors. After winning his bride’s hands it was time for the tea ceremony.
I was particularly excited as I got the opportunity to experience the traditional Chinese tea ceremony for the first time.. The tea ceremony is significant in modern Chinese weddings as the formal introduction of the bride to the groom’s family, and for this special moment Yuki wore the traditional Chinese red dress.. Stunning! I really love the pop of red in the photos.
One of the most memorable moments at their wedding, actually of any wedding I have covered, was seeing the groom playing the entrance song for his bride on violin. Pure romantic..
The wowed continued after finding out the bride baked her own wedding cake the night before. It tasted ohhhh so good! Her cake below looks fav’ wouldn’t you agree..
